Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Enjoy a wildlife drive through Lake Mburo National Park on the way to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in southwest Uganda after breakfast. You will travel through Uganda’s lush, rolling hills, past banana and tea plantations, and enjoy some beautiful scenery. You will be given lunch while travelling, and you will reach Bwindi in the late afternoon.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Experience
After eating breakfast and packing a lunch, you’ll go to the park headquarters to register and join the other trackers at 7:45 am for a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla tracking. To discover the gorillas, you and your guides will journey through dense brush and bushes, which might take anything from 30 minutes to 34 of a day. The extremely thick, heavily wooded area is crisscrossed with numerous animal pathways that provide people access. Being with these lovely yet vulnerable animals is an incredible sensation.
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will go to Queen Elizabeth National Park this morning; be ready for some breath-taking vistas. You will get to the resort in time for lunch and a game drive across the Kasenyi plains in search of savannah species including herds of buffalo, antelopes, elephants, and, if you’re lucky, some wild cats like lions and leopard.
Day 6: Morning Game Drive – Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel
You’ll return to the Kasenyi plains this morning for a morning game drive in an effort to locate any wildlife you might have missed the day before. The resort will provide lunch, and you should proceed to the jetty along Kazinga Channel for the afternoon boat tour afterward. This tour gives you the chance to see wildlife that uses the channel for water, including hippos, water birds, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, and many other species.
Day 7: Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Kibale National Park
Drive to the northern bank of Queen Elizabeth National Park (Kasenyi) after an early breakfast to seek for wild creatures, which may include elephants, buffalos, and wild cats, as well as savanna birds and many types of antelopes, including waterbucks and Uganda Kobs. Driving to Kibale Forest National Park after lunch, you’ll arrive at your lodge that evening.
Day 8: Chimpanzee Tracking Experience
After breakfast today, you will go to the park headquarters to participate in a briefing with other trackers before being escorted to the Kibale Forest National Park to do chimpanzee tracking. Many of the 13 monkey species that are native to Kibale Forest National Park can be spotted during this trek. You will travel to Bigodi for a swamp hike after lunch. The neighbourhood next to the park is the owner of this wetland.
Day 9: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Travelling through tiny towns, villages, and enjoying stunning escarpment vistas, you will reach Murchison Falls National Park in the late afternoon.
Day 10: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise
After a cup of tea in the morning, head to the northern region, known as para, for your morning wildlife drive. Here, you’ll have the chance to see giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, hippos, and, if you’re lucky, lions and leopards. After returning to the resort for a break for lunch, head to the pier for your two-hour boat ride to the base of the falls to see how the Nile squeezes through a small gorge before bursting out, creating an unforgettable experience.
Day 11: Return to Kampala – Departure
Enjoy your early-morning breakfast before setting out on another game drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking.
